Specific measures have been incorporated in the pool design to prevent degradation ofthe water quality&quantity emering the lake. The pool will be equipped with disposable non- backwash filter cartridges. Each October, the pool water level will have to be lowered approximately 6 inches,a zero chlorine level can be achieved before this operation is performed. Additionally,an area for pool pumping has been designated to maximize wetland separation, placed rip-rap in this area will prevent any soil erosion. Structural engineering design plena will be presented to the town as required,The site plan has also beery revised to require that the silt-fam be band-dug as requested. In a letter dated 9-27-01 from VHB to the Planning Board: 1. (4.136.4.c.ii.2)Wetlands Preservation,Environmental Consultants, flagged the designated wetland area shown on the plan. As discussed with the North Andover Conservation Commission, the wetland boundary will be Held verified with their agent prior to issuance of a bulling permit. 11. (4.136.4.e.iii)No significaut degradation of the water quality or quantity will occur tom the proposed work. Additionally, the existing Conservation Reatriction and will be in effect to further protect the resource areas. III. (4.136.4.c.vi)No increase of nitrogen in groundwater will o=ur from the proposed project IV. (4.136A.c.vi)Since no increase of downgradiertt concentrations of nitrogen, phosphorous,o other relevant chemicals will result from this project. A waiver is requested from this item. V. (4.136.4.8)The only increase in impervious area will be the construction of a 4-foot apron around the perimeter. Due to the saub vegetation at the back oftht lot,and the distance of the proposed pool to the resource area,a natural vegetative barrier exists to facilitate removal and infiltration of surface water, VI. The owner has agreed to secure within the dwelling, all chemicals required for the main&peration of the pool. VII. No restriction exists that prohibits the construction ofthe proposed stone walls within the 20 sewer ea>reme nt VW- The desip and ooh of the retaim"wails will adhaz to aft state and local r'equhvimads.
