DOLA N Tel. 17 ,,,- Chief of Department To: North Andover Planning Board From: Fire Chief Dolan Re: Angus Realty Trust Date: February 12 , 1987 On Tuesday, January 10, the architects and representatives of Angus Realty Trust came to the Development Committee meeting to discuss their proposal for a new building on Osgood Street. Their presence at that meeting was made upon your request from the Planning Board metting of Monday, January 2. Since then, a set of conditions was ordered by the Board of Appeals and since the project has taken some time, I suggested that the developers informally present the plans to each department head and provide each department with the list of thirteen items mandated by the Board of Appeals. On that same afternoon, I met with the architect at the fire station and reviewed the revised plan. The only change I requested was that a fire hydrant be placed on the site. This was agreed to. With that change, the petitioners have met the requests I made to your Board for site plan review on March 6, 1985. A copy of that letter is attached. The details relating to fire alarm and sprinkler installation will be addressed, as they are with all projects, as the project proceeds. The developer is aware of this. I In addition to my letter of March 6, this new plan also allows 360° access around the building which is, as you know, one of our requirements. In view of the comprehensive plan that has been developed and the fact that the revised plan, under the conditions of the Appeals Board, meets all Fire Department requirements, I would not have any further comments if it was resubmitted to your Board under a site plan review. (617) 686-3612 Lit Date : March 6, 1985 To: No. Andover Planning Board - -- From: Fire Chief Dolan , Re: Special Permit Angus Realty The proposed building is required to have a full sprinkler system with a fire department connection in accordance with MGL Chapter 148 Section 26G, This building shall also be connected to the municipal fire alarm system by means of a fire alarm box installed on the building activated from both a sprinkler flow switch and from any other internal fire warning systems . In addition to the fire hydrant at the right front of the existing building, an additional fire hydrant should be installed at the left rear of the proposed building to provide adequate eater supply for fire purposes .
