Meeting Minutes

Meeting was called to order by Robert Parker at 5:04pm
Approval of Minutes
Paul Blinn made a motion to approve minutes of the previous meeting. Robert seconded the motion.
Old Business : Discuss Attorney Selection
● Christopher McClure announced that Bill August is no longer available to represent North
Andover as attorney for Verizon Cable Licence Renewal. Christopher McClure stated that based
on the recent conversation with North Andover town manager,Andrew, Bill August has
recommended Bill Solomon to represent North Andover. Christopher McClure shared that Bill
Solomon will later give a proposal within a week.
● CAC accepted the change of attorney since CAC has a commitment on timeline for the upcoming
hearing. And the members believed that Bill Solomon will be great addition to our committee as
well.
● There was a concern on our timeline since CAC already behind due to the change on the attorney.
However, Christopher McClure shared that Bill Solomon stated that Verizon has been working on
multiple renewals and none of them has been finalized yet. This means that North Andover CAC
still has plenty of time to work on the process.
● It is agreed that Christopher McClure will schedule the next meeting after the town receieves the
proposal from Bill Solomon.
Discussion on Ascertainment Hearing
● Christopher McClure went over the agenda for tonight’s hearing.
● Christopher stated that the town residents, public and Verizon were notified about the initial
hearing via North Andover Patch ( April 7th ), town website and other town social media.
Next Step
● Christopher McClure to share the proposal from Bill Solomon to CAC members.
● CAC to work with Bill Solomon to develop timeline for the next hearing in Fall.
● All CAC members to start reviewing the latest Verizon license agreement to develop our
checklists on Verizon’s commitments.
Adjournment
