Note: Documents used in this meeting are listed in Document Table, herein. II. Previous Minutes Approved DATE: No Minutes to Approve III. New Business AGENDA ITEM: A. Warrant Article OO Meals Tax Discussion: -Rebecca Abbott spoke about the .75% meal tax If approved at Town Meeting would generate for 10 Months $344k Neighboring towns have adopted it. 100% of tax goes back to town. 2 AGENDA ITEM: BWarrant Article Review Discussion: -Susan Sawyer spoke about the Article 23 transfer of funds from Health Dept Food Consultants revolving fund to the Health Dept to be used to purchase truck monitoring equipment. No voting on article Susan has meeting and we will know st more after April 21 Will give us and update and what is proposed. AGENDA ITEM: C. General Funds Budget Discussion Discussion: Jenn Hughes spoke about the revolving fund to cover an employee fully (insurance, pension) Passed out information about the Wetlands Protection Act not allowing the money collected to fully cover an employee. Lyne Savage will look into the limitations concerning this and how the funds can be used. AGENDA ITEM: D Snow and Ice Update Discussion: Lyne Savage passed out a finance report on the snow and ice update (not including the st April 1 snowstorm) The Deficit is roughly$458K to cover this they are using a reserve in the Lap Salaries and each dept. has taken roughly a 1.5% reduction along with $120K coming from FEMA to cover this deficit The balance remaining is $3K plus st whatever the cost of the April 1 storm. MR 16 Nov 33 Put on the Agenda, Minority Report and the MR 16 Nov formation of a FINCOM Article Sub-Committee. 34 Input to Mark Rees 2 scenarios, First- 5% in 2013 and MR/PB 3 Feb c Second-Otherwise scenario in 3 years.
