AGENDA ITEM A: Review and Discuss CIP with School Department and Fire Department
Discussion: AL: Opened floor to JM for discussion on CIP for School Department
JM only change from last year is reprioritize of pavement over carpet 2 projects 100K

for paving and 127K for 2 stage of IT wireless project. Middle School Franklin and
Kittridge have paving issues. 100k will now go to pavement of driveways.
RN for IT project should we look into leasing?
JM no plan for that at this time. At some point we could go that route.
SL Leasing would take out of operating budget.
TD does DPW do paving contract?
JM they contract out. Our estimates came from them.
AM: Priority for Fire department is New Ambulance. Spent over 30K in repairs in last
4 yrs. Looking to purchase Navistar 4300 for 270K. It is a high quality vehicle. 2002
backup has over 100k miles the 2008 with 80k miles would be new back up. The 2008
Chevy with 40K would go uptown. New Ambulance would be downtown.
AL what would a lower end cost? What would Lawrence and Haverhill spend?
AM lower line would run 200K .Haverhill and Lawrence use private firms.
TD CP plan for FY17 shows another ambulance would we get a better discount if we
bought 2?
Al What is process on new Fire station?
RS Town manager will discuss in upcoming meetings.
AGENDA ITEM B New Business
Discussion: AL: Would like to address the Ameresco article in the paper. First article not fully

accurate. 2 article pretty accurate based on emails going back and forth. We agreed
to concept not contract with Ameresco. All depends on how Town Manager can
negotiate deal. This is not a done deal. Other companies may come in with lower
amounts. Perception was that we endorsed Ameresco not what we wanted to say we
agree with concepts not contract.
MR I thought we were voting that this is a good concept. Not a signed deal with
Ameresco
RS Agree with approving ESCO project not contract Town manager and BOS will end
up negotiating contract with company that gives best deal.
AL we should have firm numbers by Town Meeting
