AGENDA ITEM A Review and Discuss CIP with DPW Water and Sewer
LS would like to note that she will have a memo at next meeting about snow and ice. There
have been 16 events and budget is depleted roughly 29K left.
BT Budget projects for year are Roadway improvements, Sidewalk Reconstruction, six
wheels Dump Truck, and Water and High Street light, intersection road Streetscape
improvement.
MR: Is Dump truck replacing an older one?
BT Yes we always replace usually trade in old one.
Roadway improvements large portion going from 840K to 1.2million which is a
combination of Chapter 90 (around 600-700K) for major roads and usually get around 400k
for subdivision roads.
Two projects we want to do 1) culvert on 133/Great Pond Rd 2) Drainage on Peter Street.
Sewer Fund discussion (pg. 105)
BT trying to make sure debt service low and not impacting water and sewer rates .We
pushed the improvements to the various sewer pump stations out a year, not imperative to
get done. We are buying a utility truck for 78K (PG111)
DE 300K in FY17 for Osgood Street Sewer.
BT keeps creeping to right
Discussion on 125 development and options for sewer.
Water Fund Discussion
BT looking what we need to do over a period of time for the treatment plant over the next
5- 7 years doing upgrades. Looking to redo the whole SCADA system runs the treatment
plant is out of date replacement parts are hard to find.
MR Will the upgrades we do now be integrated to new systems in the future?
BT Yes everything will be modular
KB Computer for 600K?
Al any issues with water towers?
BT Pump Stations@ bear hill and Sutton Street are in really good shape.
KB where is the pumping station that is being demolished for 265K in FY16
BT: deserted Pumping station on Great Pond Rd. has been pushed off every year

BT We are in pretty good shape. Key is to plan things out.
Not a lot of towns that give money for roads.
Al How is town with Recycling?
BT 22 % of the total.
AL: any other questions? Continue with schedule would like to get CPA in on March 18th
