Contingency Plan for Meals Tax Repeal
Discussion starts on or about 6:40 pm
The Board discussed Article 15, the petition to eliminate the meal tax.
BC: Commented that he agrees with a number of people that this article will not pass. The
message here is that we are getting a good value for our dollar and that we are not overspending.
BC: Went on to say that we are not over collecting revenue, and we are being prudent about our
reserves. I think this message will carry.
The Finance Committee also discussed if this article was to pass what action(s) they proposed to
take.
