Vendors interested in responding are required to pick up a certified copy of the RFP from the DPW office. Three vendors pick up a copy to date. The expected st award date is May 312007. The new contract will go into effect on July 1, 2007. A recycling contract or memorandum of understanding will be needed to be developed to 2. outline the operations to be taken over by TBI. The committee hopes to be involved in this process. . (CD) School report by Carolyn Dann was reviewed. Bill has requested CD create a 3. “scorecard” to summarize the findings across schools. Tina will contact CD with specific comments and suggestions for the report. Are there specific capital needs (for example dumpster enclosures) that could be proposed and completed this year and are there state grant funds that could be requested? New Business: CD submitted a summary report for the Summer edition of One Person’s Trash.The 1. committee reviewed the article. As of the time of the NASWAC meeting it was unclear whether the Sheep Shearing 2. Festival is happening. The DPW has not yet been contacted about the logistics of the event. The committee does not currently have staffing for this event, but this should not preclude the Festival Committee from providing recycling at the event. The Recycling Calendar that for the past several years has been mailed to each household 3. will this year be printed in the Summer edition of OPT as a cut out section. In the past the postcard and the postage to mail the postcard has been provided by a grant from MassDEP. The Got Books bin company needs to be notified to increase frequency of pick up.
