Special Meeting
The PLANg]]{G BOARD held a Special Meeting on Saturday morning, January 22, 1977 a%
8:30 A.M. in the Planning Board Office. The following members were present and voting:
Fritz 0stherr, 0hairman; William 0hepulis, Uice-Chairm~n; William Salemme, Clerk; Paul
R. Lamprey.
Regarding H~600, Sec. 5 "Freehold Estate" means any landowaer can challenge zoning.
ARTICLE FOR PLANNER: "To see if the To~n will vote to establish %he position of Town
Planner at a salary ~ra~e of 3-17, said Planner to'meet the professional qualifications'
of the Job DeScription and to be selected and supervised by the Planning Board."
Mr. Salemme suggested sending a memo to all Town Departments with a copy of the Job
Description requesting a~y input and/or recommendations they might m~e. Mr. Chepulis
made a motion to submit an Article into ~he ?o~n Warrant as aomposed above. Mr. Lamprey
seconded and the vote w~s unanimous.
C~h~FER 808: Ralph Joyce, Boar~ of Appeals, spoke on Special Permits - in his opinion,
the PL~ BOARD might he biting off more than they could chew by taking over these
permits at thi's ~ime; suggested waiting un%il we find out whether or not the Planner is
hired; if we don't get the Planner withdraw the Special Permits article and schedule the
Pla-~er article first on ~he warrant.
Fritz Ostherr felt that there isn't anything basically wrong with our ZBL that 808 will
tip t opsy-turvey.
ARTICLE - "To see if the Town will vo~e ~o amend the Z~L to incorporate the following
changes to bring said By-Law into conformance with Ch. 808, Acts of 1975, which is a
revision of Ch. 40A of ~he Mass. G. L." Then go through section by section, indivi-
dual items will be submitted in the near future. A motion was made by Mr. Lamprey and
seconded by Mr. Chepulis to accept the inclusion of this Article submission in the
Warrant. The vo~e was u~auimous.
