Discussion Items:
Project idea for the Trails presented by Glen Aspeslagh, Glen states that they were able to get new grants,
with the new Edgewood project there will be 15 acres of trails and even trails leading down to the lake. There
is a Stevens Coolidge to Stevens's estate trail phase 2. He passes a map showing the design of the Stevens trail
along with boardwalks that will be required. They would like to add a series of boardwalk and 7 more way
signs and update the current signage. The ballpark figure for this is$5-10 thousand. The trustees of the
reservations gave us some cost information.
The labor would be volunteer the cost would be all in the materials.
John Simmons wants to discuss the open projects that still have money available in the Kiosks
Glen says the trails have all the kiosks needed, Windrush could benefit from some trail money. Connect
Windrush with the state forest there is a white cedar forest swamp that could be used to make the trail
Potentially close out the project
John Simmons asks the committee if it make sense to purchase different access properties
Bill Gordon and John Simmons are discussing the $212,550 amount left in the Windrush project account. John
Simmons explains that it is the purchase price vs the cost left funds in the account
An evaluation of all accounts and properties would be a very helpful thing to have
The Leonard Farm project has closed with all deed restriction in place.

Review of Financials
Library Roof Project has not started yet
Parson Barnard the interior work is almost complete
Ridgewood is moving forward
The Playgrounds ask the Town Manger which playground is being funded this year.
Middle School field committee it has been narrowed down to one concept the design cost is currently at
$600,000.00 the design is being presented to different groups to get opinions. So the costs are subject to
change. Idea is to change some of the field ideas. The biggest push right now is trails and where they will be
located or connected for use by the schools as part of the curriculum. The potential is to ask for a higher
amount due to the project deadline it does need to go to the Board of Selectmen and the school committee.
There is a lot of land there which should give a good buffer to the neighbors.
Terry Holland spoke in regard to the possibility Restoration of the original fire Equipment funding is needed to
do the repairs and for display
Getting three quotes will be difficult due to the nature of the restoration
