Lordan.9 Chepulisp Demers„ Lafond and Lewis. 3, Members Absent: jjqessrs. Root., Roberts and Mrs. Kittredge. 4- Minutest The -minutes of that meeting of 15 April 1968 were approved as submitted, 5,ia-:',G__oftm'aeati0n$ Sent: Letter dated 11 Nay 1968 to the Board of Selectmen requesting that Messrs. Root and Lafond be reappointed for 3 year terms. Letter dated 11 May 1968 to the Town Treasurer authorizing and requesting him to deposit in a special notice aecount with the Merrimack Valley National Bank the $5000 appropriated for the Commission at the 1968 Annual Town Meeting. 6. Trails: Mr. Lordan reported that he verbally contacted Mrs. Chandler to send a representative of the N.A.I.S. to our May meeting- Howoverq no representative appeared. 7. gonservation Fund: Noeommunication was received acknowledging the deposit of the Conservation Fund, A newspaper articles kowever., stated thattthe deposit was made. 9. Election of officers: Since tjje full Commission was not present.. the elec- tion wis postponed to the next meeting. Mr. Lordan stated he did not wish � to continue as chairman. go Hatch Act Action-. The Seleetmen submitted to the Commission requests and two sets of proposed plans from Mr. B. Osgood., developerp for the filling of low areas as shown on the plans entitled "Coachman's Forest" and ""Pre- liminary Plan,". The following was duly moveds seconded and affirmatively voted. In the ma former, plan tentative approval be given for, filling as shown on the eked plan pending the Department of Natural Resources specifications as to cul- vert size necessary for proper and adequate drainage of the area in ques- tion. The plans as submitted were incomplete with respect to development of roads in the subdivision as approved., In the latter plan tentative approval be given as above with the addition that the type of fill for eventual road building shall be with the eoneurrence of the Highway Sur veyor to prevent damming, (IONSEUVkTION COMMISSION NOR'llf ANDOVFIR, MXSS01845 ,4.0,444 AP IL CHU Report No. 55 vont'd. The preceding was, verbally reported to the Board of Selectmen. The ,were- tart' vras instructed to confirm in in-iting the tentative approvals given to the Selectmen. 10, Nike Site: No action was taken relative to the possible location of a ;Fs-aiie site in the corner of North, Andover bordering Boxford and Middle- ton, Mro Lordan will try to attend the June 5 meeting scheduled by the Board of Selectmen with Anty representatives and other town officials. 11. Inland Wetlands Bill: The Selectmen forwarded a copy of a rebuttal to 'the Now England Real Estate Journal the Bill H387 they received from (Realtors) and the Home Builders Association of Greater Boston. The Selectmen requested that the Commission study the presentation and submit a report. 12* Meetings: it was voted to suspend regular meetings for July and August, 13.
