Site- Osgood and Wayne St. 24,000 Sq. Ft. Purpose: to house
equipment. There will be offices and foreman area.
John Brown , in planning report , said that It was an ad-
equate site with wewage. Land was do nated. The lot is fill.
It used to be a soot dump. 10-15 Ft of fill, then sand, then,
four ft. of petit and then solid. It will be a staging area
for sand and salt operation.
Building- pre-manufactured steel, set on a slab with deep
foundation. The intermediate area will be paved. . They will
file an impact statement .
Vinc. Suggested that the flow that came out of the mill
should be checked that even If it Is a mimimal %age,that
the method of containing the salt should be very carefully
though y out. Must be very careful that the leach does not pol-
lute the brook. The brook is not on Town property and tech-
nically it does not abutt the brook but this should be care-
fully handled. The Town controls the flow of the brook at
Stevens Pond, and therefore it can be reQlated.
Hope to have this done by next winter, therefore would like
to develop/ detail: plans now, and could do site planning very
shortly. Anticipating getting approval from town meeting
and want to know how quickly things can move after that.
