Members presents Gregory Mooradkanian, ga~es T.'~Poor'_aB. d-Dr.~ Harold C. This was a special meeting for the purpose of discussing the plans of the layout of a part of Morris Street, beginning at the edge of Second Street and extending for a distance of 238 feet. Application was pre~ sented by Leonard Firth on September 9, 1949 and due to the lack of q majority of the a~ers of the Board, the decision was not made on that date. _ After discussing the situation and the plans of the layout of a part of Morris Streets the marion was made and seconded and it was to approve this layout as presented on the following conditions~ That the applicant, Leonard Firth sha~ complete all storm drains as shown on .the plan presenteds shall set the street ~ers or bounds and shall properly grade and surface the street up to the point of the proposed li~it of.the approval. Ail of said work to be completed no later than January 1, 1951. This matter was discussed by the Chairman with the applicant,. Leonard Firth, who was reached by .telephone and he agreed to fulfill these conditions~ all to be completed within the specified date. Motion was made and seconded and it was VOTED to send a letter to Mr. William B. Duffy, Supt. of Board of Public Works and Anform b_~im that nothing further had been heard from Mr. Norwood in reference to torraine Avenue and that no answer had been received by the board from Mr. ~orwood in reply .to a letter sent to him asking what he proposed to do as to presenting plans for approval. No application has. been made to the Board by Mr..Norwood and no plans have ' been presented. As fas as this present Board is concerned, Lorraine Avenue remains an nnappeoved street. Motion was made and seconded and it was VOTED to send the following letter to Attorney Arthur A. Thomacns this letter being dated September 26, 1949. Dear Sirs The Planning Board of North ando~er had an informal discussion of the a~st recent proposition advanced by your clients M~ry and Stanley Stefan- ski, in order to obtain the approval of the Board to t~e sub-division near Lake Cochichewick. The Planning Board has no power or authority under the law, to con- sider or to comm~ t the Town in any wa~, to an agreemant with the Stefanskis for the purchase of the front area portion of the development known as ~Stan- leyville~ for its assessed valuation, inc. consideration for which your cliehts would expect to have the Planning Board approve the re~w~Bing pertion on their hands for sub-division purposes. · ith respect however, to the proposition first advanced by you at this last ~eeting, in which said area of "Stanle~,illea would be deeded to the Town, without cost or expense to it, the Planning Board would be willing to consider any plans embodying such suggestion, providing however, that such plans give full weight and consideration to all problems previously discussed in connection with "Stanleyville", such as the pollution of Lake Oochiehewick,. the grades and surface coverage of the proposed strsets and such other features natural to a new sub-division.
