A letter was received~by the Board from the Beard of selec~nen
requesting that the members of the Planning Board met with them
in their office on Monday evening, March 30~ 1953 at
relative te discussing some sort ef ~ndustrial pla~ fer the Towr,
March 30, 1953
A3~ members of the Plarming Board attended a meeting with the Board
ef Selectmen at the request of the Selectmen. This meeting was in regard
to the organizing ef an Industrial Planning Board. Selectmen Arthur A.
Thomson urged that the neucleus of this Industrial Planning Board be the
present efficial elective five member Plarm~ug Board whese membership
would be expanded to include representative and interested citizens. He
further stated that this overall unofficial board weuld find i~s best
means of operation through t_~e o£ficial Pl~n~ Board. Seeretary of
the Planning Board, Richard G. 'Whipple, spokesman for the Planning 'Board
stated that he and his fellow members of the Planning Board would begin
action immediately.
