Blackwetl met with the Board at, 8:30 p.m. to discuss fUrtmher the citi'~ens' com~l+tees for +.he various projects to be undertaken in the plansing and rezoning of North Annoyer. Mr. Nice+ts informed the Board that Mr. B. Peroni of the Board of Appeals hsd msd~it known ~hs~ the Board was willing to co-operate with the Planning Board is any way in which that could be of aid. At the suggestion of Mr. Blackwell a motion was made by Mr Finck, seconded by Mr. Broadhead, tbs+ the maps hanging on the wall of the~eeting room be repaired as +hey are too valuable to be let stand in +heir present, condition. Tbs letter will read: "Dear Mr O'Brien: The study base map for the North Andover planning s*udies will be ready nex~ month. We are accepting the offers of help made~y many of the civic organ- izations in town. Our p~anning advisor tells us that in some other towns, high school students, working under their art teacher, bays sometimes dow~olorsd maps and other inventory fact assembly such as layer tinted topographic maps, drainage basin maps, lists of major existing streets and school enrollments by study areas. Is such work something you would be willing to consider offering the students in the North Andover High School? We hope you may care to $oin in our initial work mae*log on Dec. 13th when representatives from *he Civic organi~'a+ions will. dlscuss with us the work ~o b&done. There will be examples of similar work done elsewhere to see.
