HomeMy WebLinkAbout1955-09-12with regm'd to z6ning as it refers to the issuance of building permits, etc. Mr. Freeman of the firm of Edwards, Kelsey & Beck also met with the Boards Mr. Freeman explained his firm has been contracted by the State Public Works Dept. for the purpose of studying the m~ster highway plan of the Merrimack Valley. He has been approaching towns which might be affected by route llO and the northern end of 128 to see if the towns have any problems such as new industries, etc. which would have a bearing on these new routes. Mr. Freeman s~id he could not as yet say just where route llO will be as it is ~pt to vary but wished to get the To~m's viewpoint of proposed routes. September 12, 1955 The meeting adjourned at ll:O0 p.m. The m.e~tir~ was e~led to order by the chairman at 7:30 p.m. Nembers present wa~e Y~ssrs. Nicetta, Finek, Gilman, and Baunan. Mr. Bennett .representing To~n & Country Homes and Mr. RoBt. Goodwin, his eng4--er, ca,~_ in with plans for a subdivision to be located ~n C~ickering Road and %o be known as Osgood Acres. These plans, the Board was ~-eormed, are subject to VA and FHA approval. After consideration of the plans, the Board 1,formed Mr. Bennett that if they would put in a good, direct outlet, the Board would then take the matter under advisement. Mr. ~o and his enter, Mr. McOracken came in with reference to lots of land owned by ~(~. Merino on Woodstock Street. The Board informed the gentlemen that before the Board could act, they mustput in good drains and find an outlet which is satisfactory to the highway dept. and plannin~ bear~. Mr. Warren Sarget came in with reference to Verda's garage l~cated on Salem Street. Mr. Sargent stated he was interested in this as a rental investment and asked if it could be used for a~ other pu~se than a garage i.e. a manufacturing business. Mr. Finck informed Mr: Sargent ~hat this is licensed by the Board of Appeals and can only be used in the realm of a repair shop. Mr. E. Fart of Andover and his engineer, Mr. Kitson and Atty. J. Lynoh came in-with a subdivision for Mass. Ave., Chickering Road, Woecllane area. They requested information as to what the Board would require and stated lots would be 125t frontage and would abide by all rules and regmlations ef the Board. The Board informed the gentlemen they should bring in their definitive plan and the Board would then take the matter under advisement.
