HomeMy WebLinkAbout1955-12-01134 December 1~ 1~ The meeting was called to order .at 8:00 P. M. by the Chairman. Mr. Nicetta, Mr. Barman, Mr. Osgood, M~. Gilman and Mr. Finck, p~esent representing ~lr. BlaCkwell, Planning Advisor. Members present were Miss Tompkins was Proposed revisions in the Zoning By- Laws were discussed. The question on Stevens Mill Prope~rty came 'up. Mr. Blac~vell ha~ prOposed ~hat this was non-conforming. The board could not understand why this was down as non-conforming when this was already industrial. Mr. Blackwell is to give a reason for this. Industrial section on Sutton Street was discussed. This would run from Thorndike Road, Upland Road to High Btreet. George Barker's land would be industrial, according to the recommendation submitted b~ Mr. Blackwell. Village and country areas were discussed at length. It was agreed by the Board that there should be a demark.ation line, and that t'h~s would be Chickering Road. The rill.age area would run from Massachusetts Avenue and Chickering Road easterly to Osgood Street, northerly on Osgood Street 2%0 feet westerly on the center line of Osgood Street, westerly to Stevens Corner, easterly by Pleasant Stree%~ and the northe?ly side of Pleasant Street to Stevens Street, then to the railroad t~ack. Country area stOod as is for the time being. The meeting adjourned at 10:00 P. M.
