ape cial Meeting
A special meeting of the Planning B~ard was held on Friday,
February 2, 1959 at the Town Build~ ng. Members present and
voting were:James M. Barman, Chairman, John B. Osgood, N~cholas
F. Nicetta and Howard Gilman. The meeting was called to erder at
7 :!,0
Pla~ were su~mitted by Frank Hancock of Essex Survey Company for
the Brooks School. Mr. Hancock explained the plans submitted only
eh-wed the land owned oy the School and are only for having the plan
of land registered at the Registry of Deeds.
John Shea of Shea Construction Company presented plans of Dav~
Field. A discussion was held and changes were made on the corner
'of Elmcrest Road. S~ ewalks were discussed and it was agreed to
have gravel sidewalks in the area.
Mr. Shea stated~plans have been presented to Mr. Duffy and the
plans have been ~p~roved on water and sewer~ge.
Mr. Nicetta suggested a copy of the plans should go to the Fire
Chief. ~L~. Shea agreed to do this.
Mr. Gilman moved that a public hearing be held on Tuesday, Febz~Gary 24.
Mr. 0sgood seconded the motion. Unanimous vote.
Mr. Gilman moved to set a date for a public hearing on the corrected
description of a parcel of land for rezonlng on sec~on 3.2.
Vote: Mr. Banrmn yes, Mr. 0sgood opposed, Mr. Nicetta opposed.
Mr. 0sgood read the minutes of October ~, November 6 and December 1
Mr. Gilman moved the m~nutes be accepted as read. Mr. Osgood seconded
the motion. Unanimous vote.
Mr. Nicetta moved that the chairman be instructed to consult proper
authority concern:ng bonds for Sylvan Terrace to see if the Board
recognized. Mr. 0sgood seconded the motion. ~nanimous vote.
Mr, 0sgood moved that ~he meeting adjourn at 9.55 PM. Mr. Gilman
seconded the motion. Unanimous vote.
