Regular Meeting & Public Hearing
The re~;!ar monthly meeting of the Planning Board was held on Monday, December 7, 1959
at the Town Building. Members present and voting were: James M.Bannan, Chairman
Robert Burke, Secretary, Howard Gilman and Nicholas F. Nicetta. The meeting was
called to order at 7:40 PM.
Plans were signed for Salvatore Girgenti.
A Public Hearing was held at 8:00 PM for William Shann. ~,M. Burke read the legal
notice ststing Mr. Shann requested to sub-divide some of his property. Mr. Shann
represented himself and exm~lained the plans were the same as those presented to
the Board previously by eliminsted the road to Chadwick Street. He stated he has
not heard from the Highway Department but has received a~letter from the Board of
Public Works.
Mr. Burke moved to give temporary approval on the plans subject to approval from
the Board of Public Works, Highway and State Departments. Mr. Gilman seconded the
motion. Unanimous vote.
Mr. Nicetta moved to amend M 's
~lr. Burke motion by taking the matter under advisement.
Mr. Bannan seconded the motion. Unanimous vote.
Mr. Burke read a letter from Lloyd and Sherman regarding Sutton Hill Road. A letter
was also read from Mr. Duffy. Mr. Sherman explained he would like to h~ve a certificate
from the Board stating there h~ve been no changes on the plans the Board approved in
1956. He would like to h~ve this certificate in order to get the plans recorded.
Mr. Sherman pointed ~ut there ~ght have to be a slight change in the grade on the
road as ~. Duffy wants no elbows used in the drains.
Mr. Nicetta moved that the certificate and plans be signed as the plans hsve not been
modified, amended or rescinded. M~. Gilman seconded the motion. Unanimous vote.
