Regular Meeting
The Pla~Bg Beard held their regular meeting on Monday evening, January 8, 196~,
at 7:30 P.~ in the Town ~,41ding. The following members were present and vot~Bg:
James M. Barm~n, Chairman; Robert J. Burke, Secretary; Howard G~l~n, George Farley,
and William Chepulis, Jr.
Mm. Leonard 0ates and Mrs. Andrews of Linden Avenue appeared before the Board
and presented a registered plan, deed, etc. and discussed right of way, water,
sewarage, etc. They applied for a permit to b,t~la and the ~,tlding Inspector sent
them to the Planning Board. Mr. Barman will check further and co~uunicate with Mr.
Oates.
Atty. Joh~ Willis appeared before the Board to ask them about their decision
on the hearing held on December 4, 1961 to rezone a parcel of land on Saunders Street.
A discussion was held regarding the requirement of 50 signatures for a re-zoning
hearing. They also dis~ssed Atty. Salisbury's interpretations, rea~t~ from his
letter. Mr. Chepulis made a motion to take no vote on the re-zoning hearing until
the Boar~ had an opportunity to discuss it thoroughly. Mr. Farley seconded the
motion and a~ded that they will then give Atty. Willis a prompt answer. The vote

A short discussion was held regarding re-zoning articles for the Town Warrant.
Atty. Lynch appeared before the Board with a request to re-zone a parcel of land on
The Board thoroughly discussed the hearing held for Ch~les Waites, represented
by Atty. Willis, for re-zoning a parcel of land on Saunders Street to Bus--ess. Mr.
Burke ma~e a motion to deny the request for re-zoning. Mr. Chepulis seconded the
motion and the vote was unanimous. It is the opinion of the Board that the area is
not 'suitable for business purposes. The area did not comply with the lot size re-
quirements of a General Business District. It is also the opf-~on of the Board that
the question of b~_~dship has no validity.
