The ~laaning Ioard held their reg~__ar meeting on ~mdey eve-~ng, November
1963 at 7=30 P.M. in the Town ~uilding with the following members presents
James M. ~.,.aw, C~-~.; Robert J. ~urke, Secretary; Eoward Gilman, George
Farley and W~l~4an Ohepulis.
Mr. George Fart and his engineer, Mr. Berry, with ~ to have sigaed with
the special sta~ not req-d~ng ~ ~ approval. The ~ questice~d
lot #1 on Johnson Street, as it ~as show~ on the plan~. They can't approve the
plans as they are no~. The land adJo4n*,_~ lot ~1 sh~ld Be ~-eluded beeauec there
would not be enough land left for another lot; or leave it out entirely ~_-~ Just
have the other 5 lots across the street approved and ~ame in ag*~n for lot ~1 when
they have decided what they want done. Mr. Fart and Mr. ~erry will have a new set
of plans made ~p for the Beard to sign.
The ~ard discuaasd the B~dget for 1~ and what a _~r~ to ask for as an
aPPrOpriation. A meet~LnZ is be~Z held t~nigRt at 8:30 of all de--ut heeds in
order to discuss budget needs for 19~. The Planning Board ~ ~ 2 ask for the
a~ount as in 1963 whieh was $~00.00.
The ieard reed a letter fro~ the ~igtmmy Department dated Oet. 1~, 1~3 saying
that the dr~_~-~e of the streets, as outlined, is adequate and sufficient to meet
the req-~ ~e~ents of the High~ Depar~t.
Mr. Bannaa reed a letter ~__ the ~ass. Dept. of Public Works ~egarding
Federal Aid, ets. for Regional ~lann~-8 and a new act whieh has been passed
Congress allo~ing such aid, etc. Mr. ~_~_-,=~ will ~ake a rep~A~ to the Central
Merrimaek Valley F]~--~ Cc~. at their next
Mr. Bashan spoke about a letter received fro~ Oscar Root, Chairman of the
C~servation C~ttee, a~w8 for a Joint ~eef. ing with the ]~=--~-g ~oard. A
letter w~ be se~t to ~ ~aYing +.he Board members ~ make every efffo~t to
attend the Joint ~e~n8. Mr. Chepulis ~!~ ~ake arrangements to hold the ~eet~n_m
c~ ~onday evening, Nove~er 18th, at 7:30 P.M.
