HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-01-03110 The ~ Board held their regular ~eet_~-~ on Moad~ evening, Sanuary 3, 1966 at 7:30 P.M. in the Town ~u~2~ng. The following members were present ond voting: Sames M. ~a~_~% Chairman~ William Ohepulis, Sec.; George B. Farley, There were approx. 10 people present. Atty. Victor Bete~ showed another set of plons to the Board that is being filed as a definitive plan and he requests a heari~ in February. The Board set the hearing date for Feln~,l~y 7 at 7:30 P. F4 CMVPC SURVEY: Mr. Banana informed the Board that nothing had been done regarding the survey by the OMVPC ~der the artiole passed at last Special Town Meeting. Mr. Burke made a motion to disconti~ue any survey by the 0~4~. ~tr. Farley seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous. A letter will be seat to the Board of Selectmon reeca~ that the funds i~teaded for that purpose be returned to the To~. This article was passed at the Spell Toga Meeting of November 8, 1965 in the a~oua% of ~015.00. Howard Thomson presented papers to the Board which exp]l~-ed the proposing of a new zoning district - Rural Business and he suggested having cluster zoning approved. Be also asked what the present status of the proposed fire station study was. Mr. & Mrs. Fred Buttm~un ware present recf~esting ~orm*tion as to the of part of their property on Turnpike Street. Be is interested in c_~_~ucting an anti~,_e business. The Board advised ~ to insert an article in the War~ont and to present a petition to the PI~2 Board for a re-zoniug hearing. Henry Lurid suggested to the Board that part of section 4.31 pertaining to limiting 5 persons being employed should be stricken. Charles Foster spoke about amending section 6.61 to provide for 3,500 sq. feet per family ~t because of sma]_l lots - some speoulators are putting two family homes on ~.-~] lots, which at present can be done. There was a discussion regar~-~ office ~,~dings in an Industrial district. It was suggested that in section 4.32 to put a comma after offices and add office buildings. Mr. Lund spoke about re-zoning a portion of land bordering Prescott Street to Chickeriug Road from Country residence to Village residence. Edward Phelan and Atty. Ralph Finck spoke about inserting a new section to the By-Laws to provide for a golf course, restaurant, etc. and the standards would be imposed by the Appeals Board, a special permit would be necessary.
