Regular Meeting
The PLANNI~ BOARD held their regular meeting on Monday evening, May 5, 1969
at 7:30 P.M. in the Town Office Building with the following members present and
voting: William Chepulis, Chairman; Robert J. Burke, George B. Farley, Charles W.
Trombly, Jr. and Donald N. Keirstead.
There were six people present for the meeting.
PRELIMINARY SUBDIVISION PLANS: Joseph & Pauline Flynn.
Atty. John J. Lynch appeared before the Board with preliminary subdivision
plans fer land at the intersection of Boxford and Forest Streets. The land would
be divided into 28 lots. 8 lots front on a public way and do not come under the
Subdivision Control Law and can be approved immediately by the Planning Board.
The' Board suggested several changes to the subdivision and requested that the
definitive plans be much more complete, should show drainage, contours, etc.
the plans are ready in time the hearing will be held on June 2, 1969.
If
VILLAGE LAND COMPANY:
Mr. Farley made a motion to table making a decision on the re-zoning hearing
for Village Land Co. until the next meet~ug or until a Special Town Meeting is
called by the Selectmen. Mr. Trombly seconded the motion and the vote was &-O.
Mr. Burke had disqualified himself on this petition.
HOOPER BUS COMPLAINT:
A memo was read from the Selectmen and the letter to the Selectmen from the
Building Inspector relative to a bus being parked on the Hooper property. Mr.
Keirstead made a motion to refer the matter to the sub-committee on Administration
to make recommendations to the Board. Mr. Trombly seconded the motion and the vote
was unanimous.
PLANS NOT REQUIRING PLANNING BOARD APPROVAL:
Mr. Burke made a motion that any one member may sign plans not requiring
Planning Board approval under the Subdivision Control Law. Mr. Keirstead seconded
the motion and the vote was unanimous. Letters will be sent to the Registry of
Deeds and Land Court notifying them of this.
OSGOODS SUBDIVISIONS:
Mr. Keirstead showed snapshots and discussed the drainage conditions on two
of Ben Osgood's subdivisions. The water flows down the roadways and is ruining
them. The water problems are on Ferncroft Circle, Meadowcroft and Meadowview;
there is also standing water and Russet Lane is also affected. Mr. Keirstead made
a motion to refer the matters to the Subdivision Gontrol Committee; Mr. Trombly
seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.
The meeting adjourned at 10:OO P.M.
