HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-03-14Saturday - March 14, 1970 Special Meeting The PLANNING BOARD held a special meeting on Saturday, March 1~, 1970 at 12:45 P.M. at the North Andover High School, prior to Annual Town Meeting, with the following members present mud voting: William Chepulis, Jr.t Chairman; Robert.J. Burke, Charles W. Trombly, Jr., Donald N. Keirstead and newly elected member John J. Monteiro. The Board discussed the 701 Grant, extension of dates, etc.. They discussed having a conference with Mr. John Brown. They discussed the forming of committees which would include other town bodies and Boards. They discussed the form of motion suggested by Town Counsel for Article 16 which has to do with hiring a planning consultant. A letter from Mr. Nicetta was read relative to the adjudication of streets. He said no stone bounds are on any of the streets up for acceptance. Mr. Keirstead said he t~lked with John Willis mud he said that if they have not been put in he will agree to put them in. A bond in the amount of $15OO has been asked for to cover the stone bounds but has not been submitted as yet. w~CTIONOF OFFICERS: Mr. Burke said he thinks the Chairmanship should be rotated and made a motion to nominate Mr. Trombly for Chairman. Mr. Keirstead asked if there should be a second to the nomination. Mr. Chepulis said he thinks the nomination should be seconded but he asked for consideration to continue as chairman since his term expires this year and he would like to see the programs he has become so in- volved in carried through for as long as possible. Mr. Tro~ly made a motion to nominate Mr. Chepulis for Chairman; My. Monteiro nominated Mr. Trombly for Vice Chairman; the most recently elected member is usually Secretary, which would be Mr. Monteiro; he is also nominated as repre- sentative to the C~fHPDC; Mr. Chepulis nominated as the alternate representa- tive and Mr. Trombly nominated to the Capital Outlay Committee. The Board voted unanimously in favor of the nominations as presented. The meeting adjourned at 1:30 P.M. in order to attend Town Meeting. (William Chepuli~s, Jr.)~ (Anna Donahue) Clerk
