Members present and voting: Charles W. Trombly, Jr., Chairman; Donald ~.
Keirstead, Fritz Ostherr and John J. Monteiro. William Chem,,lis was out of
state and unable to attend. There were approx. 50 people present.
1. Mr. St. Cyr, Salem St., was concerned about the section having to do with
the keeping of animals and req,,!ring l0 acres. He has about 5 acres, a small
farm and some cows.
The Board explained that he weul~law~,lly ner~-conforming.
2. Discussion was held as to some of the areas shown as public la~. A few
of the people felt it was not properly outlined, for example, the Woodchuck
Hill area. Mike Schena was also concerned about the boundaries shown- no
legal descriptions are given. A problem is being created because just
boundaries are shown. He suggests taking out the public properties and leaving
it as whatever residential area is shown.
The Board realizes this is a problem; the matter will be discussed further
and possibly get an opinion from Town Counsel.
The Board discussed the watershed area and explained that this problem
will be studied further and they will try to come up with some sort of pre-
tection for that area.
A. They discussed the possibility of Summer Street being used in the future
as a direct way from Rte. 114 to Salem Street.
5. Show the Reynolds lar~ given to the town on the map. **
6. Earl Card, representing Cochichewick Ledge, said the Lodge at the Center
is in two zones; 1/2 is business and 1/2 is residential; the parking lot is in
the residential half and they need the parking area; they weuld like to have
the business land extended.
Mr. Ostherr recommended including fraternal organizations in B-1. Mr. Keirstead
is against it. He said the parking lot can be used under any conditions.
The Board will discuss the matter of fraternal organizations further.
Mr. Card will meet with the Board on Friday, April 2_lst, at 7:00P.M., in the
meantime check the Assessor's maps, and try to decide what to do about that
problem.
7. Charles Foster spoke about allowing rooming houses in R 1, 2 & 3- Duplex
homes are not ~llowed, doesn't think rooming houses should be. The Board will
discuss it further at the Tuesday meeting.
John Willis expl~1~ed that the intent of the section was to allow existing,
older homes, not new ones. Some sort of date could be added.

Mr. Foster also brought up about public b-~ldings being allowed ar4vwhere.
The Board willdiscuss this further on Tuesdayevening.
8. Check the Hillside Read area - industrial district. Mike Schena thinks
it has been extended too far and includes some homes.
9. Atty. Eaton and Mrs. Moschetto discussed the industrial zoning on Rte. 125
near Bradford Street. Mrs. Moschetto owns Coppolla's Florist and a large
adjoiniugarea. They feel their residential land in theback is locked and
could not be used. They would rather keep the area the same as it is.
Chris Adams has a restaurant audminiature golf course nearby and is concerned
that he would have no protection. He is presently there under a special permit.
*Motion: Mr. Monteiro made a motion to leave the Industrial"S" parcel 500feet
hack as it now exists along Rte. 125 from Bradford Street to the present Alco
Electronics boundary. Mr. Ostherr seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.

lO. Mr. & Mrs. Whipplet Turnpike Street, said they are residential and would
like to be I-2.
Mr. Ostherr, Mr. Monteiro and Mr. Trombly said they would go along with changing
it. Mr. Keirstead doesn't like it.
The Whipples also asked if their piece of land across the street could be zoned
for business. The Board feels it should stay I-l, as proposed.
John Willis brought up about trucking terminals not being allowed. Mr. Keirstead
they are purposetynot being allowed but the existing ones will be protected by
keeping them in Industrial "S".
