CALL TO ORDER: Keith Mitchell called the meeting to order at 8:25 a.m.
ATTENDANCE: The following were present: Keith A. Mitchell, Chairman;
Donald B. Stewart; David M. Torrisi.
INTERVIEWS—NORTH ANDOVER POLICE DEPARTMENT— ONE OFFICER
The following candidates were interviewed: Jay Staude, Ron Reid, Steve Tahan, Brendon Forrest and
Jeff Sapienza.
A discussion took place taking into account Chief Stanley's recommendations provided to the Board of
Selectmen.
A MOTION was made by David Torrisi, seconded by Donald Stewart,to appoint Jeff Sapienza as a
police officer for the North Andover Police Department; vote approved 3 — 0.
NEW BUSINESS:
Request that the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission Undertake Traffic counts in the Old Town
Center.
A MOTION was made by David Torrisi, seconded by Donald Stewart,to send the letter drafted by the
Town Manager to the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission requesting the assistance in traffic and
speed counts in and around the Old Town Center; vote approved 3 — 0.
ADJOURNMENT:
David Torrisi made a MOTION, seconded by Donald Stewart,to adjourn the meeting at
9:25 a.m.; vote approved 3 — 0.
