CALL TO ORDER: Thomas Licciardello called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM at Town Hall Meeting Room.
ATTENDANCE: The following were present: Thomas Licciardello, Chairman; James Xenakis; Daniel P. Lanen;
Mark J.T. Caggiano; Mark Rees, Town Manager; Ray Santilli, Assistant Town Manager.
OLD BUSINESS:
Warrant Articles
The Town Manager has the Board to vote on their position of the following Warrant Articles:
Article 6. Amend Capital Improvement Plan Appropriation for FY2007 as to the School Department's amended
recommendation.
Mark Caggiano made a MOTION, seconded by James Xenakis, to vote Favorable Action on Article 6 as
amended. Vote approved 4-0.
Article 25. by Robert Ercolini Will be withdrawn...not applicable
Article 26. by Robert Ercolini Labor Counsel says as written does not conform to state law
Mark Caggiano made a MOTION, seconded by Daniel Lanen, vote Unfavorable Action on Article 26. Vote
approved 4-0.
Note: Rosemary Connelly Smedile arrived at 6:10 p.m.
Article 32. Amend Zoning Map—Turnpike Street and Berry Street to (CDD2)
Mark Caggiano made a MOTION, seconded by James Xenakis, vote Favorable Action on Article 32. Vote
approved 4-1. Daniel Lanen opposed.
Article 33. Amend Zoning Map—Turnpike Street and Berry Street to (R2)
Daniel Lanen made a MOTION, failed for lack of second.
Article 19. Report of the Community Preservation Committee and Appropriation From Community Preservation
Fund Mark Caggiano made a MOTION, seconded by James Xenakis, to vote Favorable Action on Article 19
and Article 40. Vote approved 5-0.
APPOINTMENTS
Daniel Lanen Recused from the following vote.
Police Officer appointments
Assistant Town Manager Ray Santilli asked the Board to formally appoint Jarrod Lawlor and Brendan Gallagher
as Police Officers. Vote approved 4-0-1.
EXECUTIVE SESSION:
James Xenakis made a MOTION, seconded by Mark Caggiano, to move into Executive Session to discuss Land
Acquisition. Vote approved 5-0.
The Board of Selectmen was individually polled and each voted to move into Executive Session. Daniel P.
Lanen, yes; James Xenakis yes; Mark Caggiano yes; Rosemary Smedile, yes, and Thomas Licciardello yes.
Vote approved 5-0.
ADJOURNMENT:
Mark Caggiano made a MOTION, seconded by James Xenakis, to recess the meeting at 6:45 PM. and reconvene
at 7:00 PM at Town Meeting. Vote approved 5-0.
