NEW OBSERVATIONS ( BASED ON THIS SITE VISIT) PERSON TO RESPOND 1.1 The majority of the reinforcing was in place as was the form work. All N/R aspects looked good. 1.2 The contractor was asked how they were going to stabilize the inner N/R layer of reinforcing against movement during concreting operations. He stated that these rods would be tied off to the wall ties to prevent them from moving. 1.3 The brick shelves were formed or being formed at the time of the visit N/R and appeared solid. 1.4 Interior footings were already cast and looked to be well constructed N/R from our vantage point standing on top of the forms. Wall footings looked uniformly constructed with edges relatively straight. Construction of the footings was viewed by the building inspector at an earlier date. 1.5 The owner was made aware of the need to keep the walls wet for the N/R first two days after casting to minimize shrinkage cracking.
