7:00 P.M. at the site of the proposed ice skating rinks. The full B~ard was
presser. Also present were~ Selectmen Guthrie and Ooad~; Highw~ turveyer CFr;
Mark & Chris Henry, p~tl Busby, Ted Phelan, Jr. and Frank ~14~ae.
Frank Gel~,~s made a presentatien as their engineer, and went over their ~repeeed
traffic patterns in det,~l. There were ? points noted. They sh~wed access and
egress to the site. Included were a 200 ft. de-acceleration lane as well as
widening and reb~4~$ the road g~ing into the ~roperty.
They walked the area where the b,,~_d~-2 would be leeated. They proceeded .ts g~
to the top of the hill %0 get an overall vie~ of the area. The hill ia
eluded in the sit~. They could see ne h~aee. They were particularly sencerned
with the ~arian Drive area and they could ~et see a~'of the heuses in that area.
The petitieners had checked ever the ? points with the D.~.W. in Danvers. They
did no~ have the autherity to pass en one er two points, such.aa c~n~ the
aarkings on the road.
Millia~ Oyr recc~meaded that a~ w~rk that is deae en Willow Street be dele to
meet the town's specific&tio~s as to roadways. They would need culverts, catch
basins, etc.
