HomeMy WebLinkAboutMiscellaneous - 223 Boxford Street / 233BOXFORD STREET 2101106.A-0252-0000.0 ` DECEIVED March 21, 2001 MAR 2 3 2001 Community Development and Services Dear Boxford Street Residents, Police Chief Richard Stanley, Selectman John Lehman, Department of Public Works: We have lived at 233 Boxford Street since August 1990 when our house was built. Our driveway is on the right as you go around the curve in the road. Since we have lived here we have had several accidents in front of our house. We have had family members vehicles trying to pull out of our driveway hit by cars that were travelling fast on Boxford Street. Almost every day cars travelling fast on Boxford Street beep their horns as we and our neighbors try to pull out of our driveways, and children cross Boxford St. for the School Bus, rather than slow down. Boxford Street is poorly posted with speed limit signs. The signs are poorly visible. There should be a freestanding Speed Limit and Blind Driveway or Slow sign on the curve between 221 and 233 Boxford Street. We have talked to Officer Soucci about our concerns years ago. He assured us that the vehicles are not travelling over the posted speed limit on Boxford Street. WE DISAGREE. We have very rarely seen the North Andover Police on Boxford Street and never during morning and afternoon commuting and School Bus hours when the traffic goes the fastest. The posted speed limit needs to enforced by the North Andover Police Department. We would be interested to see how much time the Police Department has spent monitoring Boxford Street and how many citations have been issued. Our neighbor town Boxford, has the road very well posted with free standing Speed Limit Signs and the traffic slows down when it crosses the Boxford Town Line. The speed limit is obeyed as the speed limit is very well monitored by the Boxford Police Department. They are doing a great job at making it safer. We feel the problem is that the Boxford Street Speed Limit is poorly posted and that the current Speed Limit is not being enforced at all. Sincerely, Steven and Lisa Marshall 233 Boxford St. 685-3031 a Steven Marshall Es 233 Boxford St SSC :A„„ North Andover,MA 01845-3225% p M nn 7`7- - 7 An c- r ST A/G a 7` '0-- /D o &i E a /11 r-1 i«•i s'''4 'p = ilta►.aaalattaaaiafaeatattl#ltfill ta11i1ailaiaa1tttii Septic System Information 233 BOXFORD STREET Printed On: Wednesday,April 16, 2008 System ID: BHS-2002-0203 General System Information Latest Permit Information Calcaluted Design Flow: Test Pits Septic Tank Disposal Trench Design Flow: One Two Capacity: Number: Design Flow Provided: Minutes per inch: Width: Width: Total Flow: Depth: Length: Length: Seasonal: No No Depth to Water: Diameter: Leaching: Grinder: No No Soil Type: Depth: Laundry: No No Hauling/Pumping Listin Quantity Type System Type Pumped Pumped By Transferred To Disposed At Date Pumped allons • Routine Septic Tank STEWARTS SEPTIC 10/27/2004 1500 Inspections: Inspected: Expires: Inspector: Status: 01/08/2008 Benjamin C.Osgood,Jr. Passes Comments: Title 5 GeoTMS®2008 Des Lauriers Municipal Solutions, Inc.
