may require adjustment. 4 feet of clearance is required in front of the 480V panel.

Purpose : Observe earthwork construction and perform field density tests
Equip: 320B excavator, Wacker plate compactor
Summary: The writer arrived at the project site at 7 : 00 AM and met with
Bill Twomey from R.C. Griffin. The purpose of this visit was to perform
a soil inspection. Backfill began along 11 line at A-D lines . The 320B
excavator was placing 6" -10" loose lifts. of onsite soil in the trench
along the interior foundation at 11 line A-D. The Wacker plate compac-
tor made several repeated and overlapping passes . Five field density
tests were performed according to ASTM D1556 using the sand cone method.
Test results exceeded 95% of the MDD obtained from the modified proctor
ASTM D1557 according to specifications . , Also a perforated drain pipe
was placed along the exterior foundation top of footing. The pipe was
covered with 12" of crushed stone and a layer of filter fabric was
placed over the crushed stone . A trench was being excavated along D
line at 8 . 1-9 . 5 . These observations were related to Mr. Twomey.

Purpose : Observe earthwork construction and perform field density tests
Equip: 320B Cat excavator, Mikasa plate compactor
Summary: The writer arrived at the project site at 7 : 00 AM and met with
Bill Twomey from R.C. Griffin. The purpose of this visit was to perform
a soil inspection. A trench was excavated on D line at 8 . 1-9 . 5 . Filter
fabric was placed at base of trench then covered with 6" -12" of crushed
stone . Crushed stone was compacted with the Mikasa plate compactor mak-
ing repeated and overlapping passes . The backfill of interior & exterior
foundation continued from previous day, placing 6" -8" loose lifts of on-
site soil then leveled by hand & shovel . The Mikasa plate compactor
made repeated & overlapping passes . A perforated drain pipe was placed
along the exterior foundation top of footing then covered with 12" of
crushed stone, and then covered with filter fabric . Six field density
tests were performed according to ASTM D1556 . Test results exceeded 95%
of ASTM D1557 modified. These observations were related to Mr. Twomey.
