Scalise 89 Main Street North Andover, MA. 01845 Dear Mr. Scalise; This letter is in reference to the piece of property which Mr. Blake Adams owns in North Andover. He and I inspected this property and I can vouch for its careful and proper forest management over the course of several decades. Any course of action which Mr. Adams chooses that will help maximize the remaining integrity of this property will be of benefit to the environment in that area. "Green" areas are shrinking in Essex County. Anything which concerned citizens, such as Mr. Adams, can do to help maintain our green space is to be applauded by con- cerned government officials, such as myself. If I can be of further assistance do not hesitate to con- tact me. Sincerely, 4Z.- o bert J, clean Service Forester Essex County 508-887-5794 Any appeal shall be filed within (20) days after the date of filing of this Notice in the Office of the Town TOWN OF NORTH ANDOVER MASSACHUSETTS RECEI ED- DANIEL LONG TOWN CLERK 140RTi4 ,1: vvVER JAH I Z 3 09 PM '94 BOARD OF APPEALS ***************************** * George Blake Adams * DECISION 1034 Salem Street North Andover, MA 01845 * Petition #048-93 * ***************************** The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting on Tuesday evening, January 11, 1994 continued from Tuesday, December 14, 1993 upon the application of George Blake Adams requesting a variation of Section 7, Paragraph 7.1 and 7.2 and Table 2 of the Zoning Bylaw so as to permit relief of 43,529 sq. ft. for the lot area and relief of 25 feet for the frontage on the premises located at Lot 8C Duncan Drive. The following members were present and voting: Frank Serio, Jr., Chairman, Walter Soule, Clerk, Robert Ford and Scott Karpinski. The hearing was advertised in the Eagle Tribune on November 29 and December 7, 1993 and all abutters were notified by regular mail. Upon a motion by Mr. Soule and second by Mr. Ford, the Board voted unanimously to TAKE THE MATTER UNDER ADVISEMENT. Upon a motion by Mr. Karpinski and seconded by Mr. Soule the Board voted unanimously to DENY the request on the grounds that the petitioner showed no hardship as required by Section 10, Paragraph 10.4 of the Zoning Bylaw and that the granting of the variance will adversely affect the neighborhood and derogate from the intent and purpose of the Zoning Bylaw. My lot, in doing this, became a better lot, and I did not have to fill in the wetlands to build a house. In recording the lots, Blake's lot was inadvertently not recorded as a single lot, but was incorporated into his present land under Chapter 61. Blake and I were unaware of the situation until Blake and Harry Love wanted to swap land. If I can be of further assistance, please contact me at 975-3359. Paul St.Hilaire
