Attention: Mr. Larry Harmon
Dear Sir:
There has been correspondence and telephone conversations
- regarding the Building Code violations connected with the above pool.
To this date, the corrections have not been made and the pool may not
be used by anyone until the following items have been corrected and
the pool installation, fence, grounds, etc. have been inspected and
approved by this Department and the North Andover Board of Health.
Specific violations are:
1. The handicap ramp has not been installed in accoi.iance with the
Architectural Barriers Board Rules and Regulations ar l mdst be rebuilt
with the proper slope and handrails.
2. The bottom of the fence requires support. The gs;e must have a
closure that is self latching and locked four feet ab)ve the ground.
3. Lights for the pool have not been installed.
k. There is a P.V.C. pipe that projects above the walking surface; it
should be brought flush.
5• The outside grading and landscaping around the exterior of the
pool has not been completed.
6. Electrical boxes should not be located outside the fence because
they are accessible to children and vandals.

instructions given to the owners for maintenance.
This department is very disappointed in your _>erformance
regarding this installation. No calls were made for inspections at
the proper times. Unless these Building .Code violations are corrected,
no further permits will be issued by this department for the installa=
tion of pools by Aquatech in the Town of North Andover.

care in today and the folloi%,ing code violations were noted.
1. Gate: The gate must have a self-closing gate latch and this
latch must be up four feet from the ground.
2. Pipe: The PVC pipe which is protruding from the ground must
be levelled.
3. Ranp: The ramp*is incorrectly pitched. At present it has a
two-way pitch which is illegal. The shaded area shown in
the drawing must be re -done.
4. Deck: The debris should have been removed by Aquatech before
having an inspector come in.
Other points brought out by LIr. L,cConaghy... .
This pool should have been inspected during the course of the
building of it. I,Ir. Harry Lanzillo had placed the periit to
build but had neglected to have the permit filled out during
the different phases. The electrical inspector should have also
been called in before the wiring was covered.
The shed must be locked if no one is specifically working in
the area.
The gate must be kept locked at'all times when no life -guard or
workman in in the irmediate area.
Since the pool is not open for use', ,and since the w..ater is still
in the pool, we i are, now re6ponsible to adhere to the rule that
within seven days,, this pool`."must be emptied or covered.
