HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-10-27 The BOARD O~ APPEALS held s Special Meettn~ on Wednesday, October 27, 1976 in the To%m office meeting room, The followin~ members were present and voting: Frank Serio, Jr., Chait~man; Alfred F~izelle, Vice-Chairman; Sandra Munroe; Ralph Joyce and R, Louis DiFruscio. Charles Foster was present. Alfred Frizelle opened the discussion by informing those present that he had viewed Watson's main gravel pit o~ Saturday and then decided to take a look at the Miscel- laneous Permit. We figured it was a little over 1,000 cu. yds. and actually it is 5,926 yds, We don't want the Bldg. Insp. being made a fool of on these things. Then went to Ceo. Fart's: looked til found in back of an old RR bed behind so~e nice pines, 20' wide looking like a canal. It is also way over the 1,000 yds. We do not want to usurp anythin~ on 1,O00 yrds because that makes sense but some- one violating this law should be told. C. Foster reminded the Bo~rd that Watson wasn't sure ho~ many yards he had and would like to g~started and go from there. It was either ~ine Fart and ts~e him to court but we would have a hard Job where it ~s eventually going to be w~thin his subdivision. It is outside the road. It was the consensus that he will So over the 5~000 yrds and theyouEht to be told to ~ease until they come in to us. Also, Watson should come into the Board. The Board doesn't mind anyone removing eravel but it sh~lfl be done legally. Much discussion ensued re pros & cons of the permit. Unanimous vote upon motion by Frizelle & 2nd by Munroe to have a Special Meeting on Nov. 2, 8:15 AM. for Fart and Willis to discuss their operation. Requested the Bldg. Insp. hold each to the limits of the perrait that they have until this meeting. S~VE DOHERTY: ~otion ky Jovce and second ~v Fr~zella that the request ~{~1 not be considered at th~.~ t~m~ because ~t has co~e to tbe ~oar~'s attention that he ~s nOt in com?l~ance with the nrocedural ~ul. es & Regulations of th~ N.A. ~d. of A~Deals. Subject to he taken up at the November veering. Th~ meet~n~ afl.}Ourned ~t ? P.M.
