HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-06-13June 13, 1977 - Monday Regular Meeting ~he ~QARD C~ APPEALS held its regular monthly meeting on }~onday evening, Jm~e 13 1977 at 7:30 P.M. in the To~n Office Meeting Room. The following members were present and voting: Fr~k Serio, Jr., Chairman; Alfred E. Frizelle, Vice-Chairm~__~_; Louis DiFruscio, Clerk; James D. Noble, Jr., and Ralph R. Joyce. There were 7 visitors present. PUBLIC R~ARING: K~Ry J. FARY - Ashland ~t. The Clerk read the legal notice. Atty. Jo Naho~ey stated %hat he di~u't really know too much about the matter, that he was substituting for Victor ~Iatem. Mr. Serio stated that there was a problem due to the lack of plans and linen. Charles Foster, Building Inspector, said that they had talked with him last week and that they would come up with the final plans and what- ever~as needed but they could not ~ave it here tonight. ~he ~M~AEDwas shown a plot plan taken from a surveyor's plan. Mr. Frizelle made a motion that a new application be made which can be heard next month if it is in on time. Mr. DiFzuscio seconded. Mr. Joyce said he would lime to amend the motion somewhat to duck the cost o~;~additional advertising. Mr. Serio felt that there would be a danger in that because the abutters m ay miss it and would not care to see something like that happen. The vote on the motion wasunanimous. DECISI(~I: M~AHANMANAGE~CORP. VARIANCE: (Nessers Frizelle, Di~ruscio, Noble and Joyce~ Mr. I~rizelle stated that the major objection is the closeness of the ~uilding to the lot line; it is a small GB area; the new front of %he building is going to be on Osgood S~. Mr. Foster was asked if they would have to get acceptance from the ~tate on the septic system before he issued a lrailding permit. Mr. ~oster stated that they can't get a building permit without the approval of the septic system. Mr. Joy=e said that he could not find any serious problem with the petition. Mr. DiFruscio added that he is trying to improve his business which is good for our tax dollar. Mr. Joyce made a motion to ~ the variance and Mr. Dil~rumcio seconded. Mr. ~oster asked if there were any drainage problems there - there are some catch basins shown on the plan. Messers Joyce and DiFruscio withdrew their motion and second, respectively. Upon motion made by Mr. Joyce and seconded by Mr. Noble the BOARD unanimously voted to grant the request subject to the condition that the site be developed in accordance wi~h the proposed site plan dated April 1~77, revised May 1~77; said plan is hereb~ incorporated by reference and made a part of the decision.
