Non Finance Committee Members in attendance
Mark DiSalvo (MD), Town Moderator
Call to order 6:15
JG: Stated that 2 sports Associations sent out emails stating to go out and vote.
JG: Commented that people are scared after the Special Town Meeting because there was some
confusion of voting yes or no.
The Finance Committee discussed, and asked questions in regards to what they felt were the two
big items at tonight's Town Meeting. The conversation circled around The Senior Center and the
Sports Center(recreational complex).
They also spoke of the various chatter on Social Media with regards to the Town Meeting and
various Town issues.
MD: Stated that he suspects that there may be 2 motions made tonight on the floor,regarding the
Budget.
1. Would be to eliminate or change the mental healthcare professional position and possibly
move it into a contract position, but MD went on to say that Town Meeting cannot do
this.
2. There has been some noise to unilaterally choosing to increase the school budget (this
they can do at the Town Meeting).

SW: Stated that as a Committee we do not start the beginning of the year with a consensus
budget, but we work incredibly hard to get there by Town Meeting.
