March 28 is the date for the annual Taste of North Andover event.
Gym use policy- overall board is frustrated that town has taken over approval process
without any input and/or discussion from the NAYRS Board. Board agreed next step is to
have Tom, Bill, and Peter set-up a meeting with Bruce Thibodeau to discuss Gym Usage
Policy the board developed/approved, as well as the Memorandum of Agreement
officially put in place in May 1999.
Discussed increasing cases of heroin overdoses and what potentially can the board help
support and/or advocate for as it pertains to the Youth of North Andover. Based on
various meetings Rick has participated in, and future meetings he will be attending Rick
will keep the board updated; so again if there is a need for help, support, board members
can get involved
Tom will send out document containing detail as to individual
skills/knowledge/background the board would be interested potentially adding as
positions open up
Board has 2 open positions. Tom to make Laurie Burzlaff aware. Rick, Pete,
Hollie, other board members to encourage folks from their professional and
personal network to apply for a position
Rick to provide copy of recent requests (item and funding) approved by the Hermann
board
for local Cub Scout Pack #86. Tom
will let Patty Passarip know of the decision.
Discussed need to update the Youth Center website listing of NAYRS board members.
The Town website is up to date (including term expiration dates)
Tom to circle back with Jay to discuss next steps from the Oct Hermann/NAYRS meeting
Next meeting scheduled for January 29th
