Welcome! To our newest board members Sandy Savoie and Andy Firmin
Rick Gorman updates to the board:
Rick provided status updates. Directors Report will be sent out via email
Budget officially approved. Full funding for 100% of all line items
Summer concert series and programs all set/on schedule
Facilities:
A big thank you!! to Downer Brothers for landscaping/spring clean-up
In conjunction with Town of North Andover (Steve Foster) Peter Breen,
and Rick Green (Hermann Board) providing support with development
of multi-year Capital Project Plan. This work will be incorporated/part of
the overall Town of North Andover Capital Project Master Plan
Demi/Rick to provide a 6 month update to Andrew Maylor on Youth Center
request for gym usage process
Rick reviewed annual funding requests to be submitted to the Joseph Hermann
Board. The NAYRS Boa process is to review, and understand
; and to the extent possible ensure the requests make sense to be
potentially funded by the JHNYC Inc., versus funding from the Town of North
Andover.
No new requests/nothing to review in regards to gym usage requests
Joseph N. Herman Updates:
Hollie provided update on annual Youth Center fundraiser schedule to occur on

April 9 2016. Planning has begun . Some changes from past
events include holding the function at , and recognition activities will
included North Andover youths
4 Scholarship winners selected. Will be recognized at Youth Appreciation day
(5/26) and during the High School recognition night
Frank Kenneally will be taking over for Jay Caporale as President effective 7/1
Overall another successful Carnival led by Carrie Crouch. This is an important source of
Tom drafted discussion. The document is intended to outline the
Boardsrole/responsibilities, board member composition, and key focus areas.In addition
John has put together a draft mission statement. Plan to review/discuss both documents
during our meeting in June.
More information forthcoming; Jay scheduled to meet with Merrimack College Dean of
Business and Education to discuss potential involvement and guidance as it pertains to
our desire (NAYRS & JNHYC) to conduct some sort of community wide needs
assessment.
