HomeMy WebLinkAbout2015-04-03 Fields Committee Minutes Fields Committee Meeting Notes 4/3/15 Lengthy discussion on the opening of fields. Most fields that still have questions will remain closed till the weekend. Each league rep is asked to walk fields (I will also do daily walks) and we will review on daily basis on when each field gets ok to open Once fields are open we will follow protocol on rain days where I will be making decision by 2 pm on whether fields are open or closed so please be checking emails Rick Green gave very informative updates on Mcevoy and Dale and he along with DPW will keep us up to date on everything from punch list items to remaining monies. Rick will make a report every FC Meeting All Leagues including Scott Young gave Tim Willet their DPW needs for the next month. Anything that comes up please forward to me and I will get to Tim. Scott Young will work directly with Tim Discussion on Baseball plans to paint the concession building at CT. ACTION ITEM BASEBALL WILL HAVE A DISCUSSION WITH MR MARSH NABC is working with other leagues on field needs for spring with Mcevoy still off line Lengthy discussion on Baseball fields at Sharpners. Both are unusable this month. They hope to get one on line in Mid May. The second field needs long term planning to correct. ACTION ITEM: Baseball will do some work on a plan and will present to Their Board and then present to Fields Committee Terry gave a CPA update on how it pertains to request for prelim design discussion on Middle School Redevelopment project. The grant looks good and assuming TM passes the money will be available July 1. The plan still calls for Rick Green and Terry Holland to represent the FC Discussion centered around schedule for big diamond fields. ACTION ITEM: Dave Brown please have Card and Valentino submit their final rosters to me asap Quick review of Playground assessment that was circulated last month. All parties thought plan was very good Quick discussion on the rumor of Lucent property being sold and how that would impact the fields. The consensus is that even if the land is sold we will still not see an impact for a couple of years. Discussion then moved if the land was sold working with owners to see if fields can remain.
