MINUTES
• PRESENT WEATHER CONDITIONS& PLAN FOR GETTING FIELDS READY
ACTION ITEM:We will play by ear and the earliest we would be talking is second week of
April.All leagues are to make sure their people know that we will be starting later this year
• SET THE OPENING DATE FOR FIELDS:
ACTION ITEM: No set date,we will be in constant contact after 4/1
• DPW PRELIM NEEDS:
ACTION ITEM:We need to address electricity issues with high school upper field for track
We need to have Gallagher field in place at the earliest as both soccer and
baseball/softball will using it more this year
Normal spring set up things we always do with DPW(barrels, net at carl
Thomas etc)
Derek please forward any needs from NASA
• DEPOSIT OF NEW FIELDS/FACILITY FUNDS—5 YEAR DEPOSITS
ACTION ITEM: Passed out 5 year deposits and discussed continuing the process in 2015. All
leagues have signed back on for another year
• CPA UPDATE—TERRY
ACTION ITEM:Terry gave complete update and discussed at length the 50k request made to
do prelim design/idea wok for middle school redevelopment project
• INITIAL PLANS FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL REDEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
ACTION ITEM: Rick Green and Terry Holland will be point people for us once Andrew Maylor
and James Mealy formally put the committee together
• OLD BUSINESS
ACTION ITEMS
1. Rick Green gave a thorough update on Dale Street Field
2. Dave Brown brought up 3 concerns about McEvoy and Rick answered and will update us
at next meeting when the snow melts at the field
• NEW BUSINESS
ACTION ITEMS:
1. After lengthy discussion on plowing the turf fields I was charged to connect with Scott
Young and Bruce Thibodeau. Discussion was if DPW should/could do it and if not could the
Youth Leagues pay to have it done by their contractors. Discussion also came up on using
maintenance account money to pay for the removal. I will get back to people on this
2. Any use of school fields must go through NA SCHOOLS CENTRAL OFFICE but groups may
want to connect with Scott on any availability
3. ALL LEAGUES ARE TO SEND ME THEIR FINAL SPRING REQUESTS BY FRIDAY
4. Rick to find out new mens' softball contacts so that Dave Brown can work on scheduling at
Drummond
S. Dave Brown will continue to work on master baseball/softball grid
6. Rick to provide committee members the Playground Plan
7. ALL NON—NA LEAGUE REQUESTS MUST COME TO ME AND FC WILL VOTE ON
