EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Executive Session convened at 7:00 p.m.
ATTENDANCE: The following were present:Wendy D.Wakeman, Chairman; Rosemary Smedile; James
Xenakis; Donald Stewart; Mark J.T. Caggiano; Mark Rees, Town Manager; Ray Santilli,Assistant Town
Manager.
The Board of Selectmen was individually polled and each voted unanimously to move into Executive Session.
Vote approved 5-0.
Negotiations with non-union employees.
Last month the Board received a request from Joyce Hanlon, Finance Director, to consider reclassifying The
Town Accountant position. The duties of the position have changed significantly in the past year. The
position is currently classified as a B-12 and the Town Accountant earns an annual salary of$60,471.
Howard Tabor Associates, the personnel consultant firm,justifies changes to reclassify the position as a B-13
with a salary range of$52,901 to$71,416.
The Town Manager recommended reclassification of the position as a B-13 with a salary increase, effective
upon approval by the Board of Selectmen, of$5,000 per year to a total of$65,471 per year.
Rosemary Smedile made a MOTION, seconded by Mark Caggiano, to approve the reclassification of the
Town Accountant position as a B-13 and the salary increase of$5,000 to a total of$65,471 per year. Vote
approved 5-0.
ADJOURNMENT:
Rosemary Smedile made a MOTION, seconded by James Xenakis, to move out of Executive Session. Vote
approved 5-0.
