EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Executive Session convened at 7:00 p.m.
ATTENDANCE: The following were present: Thomas Ucciardello, Chairman; James Xenakis; Daniel P.
Lanen; Mark J.T. Caggiano; Rosemary Connelly Smedile, Mark Rees, Town Manager; Ray Santilli,
Assistant Town Manager.
The Board of Selectmen was individually polled and each voted to move into Executive Session. Vote
approved 5-0.
Collective Bargaining
The Firefighters Union ratified the MOA of April 4, 2007. The Board was asked to vote to approve this
agreement.
Mark Caggiano made a MOTION, seconded by Rosemary Smedile, to approve the Firefighters MOA.
Vote approved 5-0.
Fire Chief Retirement
The Town Manager said the Fire Chief William Dolan announced his retirement effective May 25, 2007.
Note: Daniel Lanen mused
The New England Police Benevolent Association Union ratified the MOA. The Board was asked to vote
to approve this agreement.
^ Mark Caggiano made a MOTION, seconded by Rosemary Smedile, to approve the New England Police
Benevolent Association Union MOA. Vote approved 4-0-1.
ADJOURNMENT:
Mark Caggiano made a MOTION, seconded by Rosemary Smedile, to move out of Executive Session.
Vote approved 4-0.
