EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Executive Session convened at 5:30 p.m.
ATTENDANCE: The following were present: Mark J.T. Caggiano, Chairman; Rosemary Connelly
Smedile, Clerk; Daniel P. Lanen; Richard A. Nardella; Tracy M.Watson; Mark Rees,Town Manager; Ray
Santilli,Assistant Town Manager.
The Board of Selectmen was individually polled and each voted to move into Executive Session. Vote
approved 5-0.
School Committee members present: Barbara Whidden, Chairman, Charles Ormsby, Chris Allen, Chris
Nobile, and Superintendent Dr. James Marini.
The School Committee was individually polled and each voted to move into Executive Session. Vote
approved 4-0.
Finance Committee Chairman Douglas Swatski was present.
Real Estate Purchase
The status of acquisition of the Merrimack Valley Federal Credit Union is that the Town offered
$1,650,000 and the owners counteroffer was$1,750,000. The owners have a pending offer of
$1,850,000, but would settle for the$1,750,000 depending on Town Meeting approval.
Daniel Lanen made a MOTION, seconded by Rosemary Smedile, to purchase the Merrimack Valley
Federal Credit Union at$1,750,000, subject to Town Meeting approval including the second floor office
^ furniture. Vote approved 5-0.
Daniel Lanen made a MOTION, seconded by Rosemary Smedile, to move out of Executive Session.
Vote approved 5-0.
