EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Executive Session convened at 7:00 P.M.
ATTENDANCE: The following were present: Chairman Tracy M.Watson; Clerk Rosemary Connelly
Smedile; William F. Gordon; Richard Nardella; Daniel Lanen,Town Manager Mark Rees; Assistant Town
Manager Ray Santilli. Note: School Committee chairman Stan Limpert, Business Manager James
Mosley and Superintendent Christopher Hottel
Collective Bargaining
Real Estate Matter
Note: Town Counsel Thomas Urbelis was present
Town Counsel Thomas Urbelis gave an update on the Windrush Farms real estate acquisition and asked
for a vole from the Board.
Rosemary Smedile made a MOTION, seconded by William Gordon, to authorize the consumer of the
majority of forth. Vote approved 5-0; A roll call vote by Rosemary Smedile, Richard Nardella, Daniel
Lanen, William Gordon and Tracy Watson.
Note: Town Counsel Thomas Urbelis left the meeting.
Fire Department
Note: Fire Chief William Martineau was present
Chief Martineau told the Board that Scott Nussbaum decided to step down from Deputy and return to
Lieutenant. Also Chief Martineau informed the Board that he is preparing to retire within the next two to
six months and is willing to help with the transition. This has not been officially announced to the
Firefighters. This is mentioned only as a planning tool.
The Town Manager will meet with the Fire Chief and put a time line together to work out the transition.
ADJOURMENT:
Daniel Lanen made a MOTION, seconded by William Gordon, to move out of Executive Session. Vote
approved 5-0.
