Minutes of North Andover Historical Commission July 11,
2016 Meeting
Present: Kathleen Szyska, Pat Long, Jan Williams, Nick Pelletier, C.J.

Jan Williams reported on the demolition request of 2032 Turnpike
Street. She reported that the house was built in the 1950’s and
therefore no legal “sign-off” was required from the Commission since
the house is under 100 years old.
Kathy Szyska reported on the ending of the 25 year Old Burying
Ground Restoration/Preservation Project. The project has ended and
the Commission plans on celebrating this event in the Spring of
2017. One large stone marker that had already been repaired did not
hold and fell apart. The Commission will ask for an extension of the
OBG contract in order to re-repair this stone marker.
After receiving the NA Historical Commission’s “letter of disapproval
“ for permission to install 64 solar panels on the roof of The North
Parish Church the Church has withdrawn its legal Appeal against the
Town regarding the installation of said solar panels.
The next meeting of the NA Historical Commission will be on
September 12, 2016 at 7pm at the North Andover Senior Citizen
Center.
