Community Preservation Committee
Minutes of February 26, 2019
Present: Chairman John Simons, William Callahan, Denevan O’Connell, Brian Roache, Terrance
Holland, Deborah Feltovic, CJ Gangi and Tracy Watson
Absent: MaryBeth Soucy-Larkin
Chairman John Simons called the meeting to order at 7:00PM in the Meeting Room at Town
Hall. The meeting was televised.
Ridgewood Cemetery
Joseph Pelich, Jim Lafond and John Smolak, trustees of the Board of Ridgewood Cemetery gave
a brief history of the cemetery and funding from the CPC. They developed a landscape master
plan and the older monuments. They have been completing the work in phases. Mr. Smolak
explained their proposal which consists of five projects.
Ms. Watson asked why the repairs to the Veterans area were not rolled into the funding. Mr.
O’Connell asked about historic landscapes.

The Board agreed to meet on March 6 at 6:00PM to discuss the remaining projects.
Ms. Feltovich asked for the fire truck to be on the schedule.
Update on Ousler
Mr. Simons talked to Jennifer Hughes and she recommends not walking the site until the snow
clears.
Denevan O’Connell made a motion to adjourn at 7:45PM, seconded by Tracy Watson. Motion
approved 8-0.
