Minutes of Meeting September 17, 2014 meeting
Present: Steve Foster, Bill Dolan, Eric Frahlich, New member, Stephanie Jones, Bill
Hansen, Kevin Willoe, Erin Flannery-Bourassa, Curt Bellavance.
Meeting dates will now take place on the second Tuesday of the month.
There will be a Carriage House tour on 9/23/14 at 9:00 AM,
Financials:
Final FY1 4 balance is $46,000+ (over $100 total)
New chairs will be a plus
Consider buying a tent? Discussion? Same pay back?
Andrew Maylor— Discussion of budget and finances. Retained earnings are held in
a separate account from an "accounting" perspective, it is separated.
Review of older finances — 6 month operating.
Why wouldn't you show the fund even each year?
Use retained earnings for one-time expenses because they are not reoccurring.
FY15 —
Savings are heating (windows/insulation) at 30%+
ESCO — Steve Foster will discuss including Stevens Estate
New hires because business is better Get other chefs inside?
Bill — Old budget—food/carriage house
Eric — renting rooms is better margin
Carriage House —focus on main estate — possibly take it down?
1.5 +/- to update vs 300k to maintain? Should be addressed sooner than later.
Sub group to review situation and keep town manager involved.
How can we increase earnings?
