Meeting Minutes

Opening comments— Tim
TT: Started off saying that we have a couple of Warrants to vote on tonight before we head off to
Town Meeting. Also mentioned that there will be a Special Town Meeting that will take place on
June 18th regarding the Osgood Property, and possibly we may reintroduce the Steven's Estate
Articles (Articles 7& 8) at that Special Town Meeting. So this means Articles 7 & 8 may be
possibly pulled from tonight's Town Meeting. Depending on the outcome of the vote tonight it
may possibly be heard at the Special Town Meeting scheduled for June 181h.
TT: Communicated his thoughts on what he felt might be a controversial Article at tonight's
Town Meeting, regarding the $50,000 to possibly be taken out of retained earnings.
TT: Commented that we will most likely need to have a meeting or two before the Special Town
Meeting (on June 18th).
TT: Spoke of Articles 3 and 4 that the Finance Committee needed to vote on before we head off
to tonight's Annual Town Meeting, regarding The Columbia Gas Restoration Capital Fund

Article 3: Columbia Gas Roadway Restoration Capital Fund. To see if the Town will vote to create a
capital fund for roadway restoration and other expenses related to the Columbia Gas Disaster and vote to
transfer the funds received from Columbia Gas as compensation for the damages to the Town roads,
infrastructure and other expenses to said account,or to take any action relative thereto.
LG: I move to take favorable action on Article 3, Columbia Gas Roadway Restoration Capital Fund
SW: Second the motion
All were in favor(unanimous)
Article 4: Columbia Gas Property Restoration Capital Fund. To see if the Town will vote to create a capital
fund for repairing Town property damaged by Columbia Gas during the Gas Disaster and other purposes
related thereto and vote to transfer the funds received from Columbia Gas Disaster as compensation to the
Town for damaging its property and other expenses to said account,or to take any action relative thereto.
LG: I move to take favorable action on Article 4s Columbia Gas Property Restoration Capital Fund.
TR: Second the motion
All were in favor(unanimous)
Approval of Minutes for April 3, 2019
SW: Made a motion to approve the minutes as written for April 3rd
CA: Second the motion
All were in favor
The Finance Committee Members all moved to the Town Meeting.
Town Meeting adjourned at about 9:15
