Community Preservation Committee
Minutes of April 11, 2019
Present: William Callahan, Denevan O’Connell, Brian Roache, Terrance Holland, CJ Gangi,
Deborah Feltovic, Francis McCarty
Absent: Chairman John Simons, Tracy Watson
Denevan O’Connell called the meeting to order at 7:02PM in the Board of Selectmen meeting
room at Town Hall. The meeting was televised.
Center Realty Trust
Denevan O’Connell explained why the Committee asked Mr. Osgood to attend and asked about
status of parking lot. Ben Osgood from Center Realty Trust said it was never the intention to
build a parking lot. The Committee members explained to Mr. Osgood that the project was sold
to the town as a parking lot and that lot needs to be put in.
Laurie Burzlaff of 24 Baldwin Street, requested the opportunity to make public comment. Vice
Chairman O’Connell allowed. Ms. Burzlaff disclosed she is also an employee of the town and
asked about the fence and if it was going to be taken down. Ms. Burzlaff also ask about the sale
of the house and when that took place. Mr. Osgood agreed the fence should be taken down.
Denevan O’Connell asked Mr. Osgood to talk to the trustees about the fence and the parking lot
and provide the Committee with the names and contact information for the trustees.
Website Update
William Callahan gave a presentation of the website update. Gathering additional files for the
database is to be discussed at the next meeting.
Terrance Holland suggested an item for the next agenda would be to talk about losing Jennifer
Hughes for the walkthrough for the Ousler project.
Signage for projects
William Callahan discussed consistent signage for projects that have been funded by the CPC.
Brian Roache will work on what items should be on the sign. Denevan O’Connell will meet with
with the Acting Town Manger Lyne Savage to discuss.
Close out on old projects
Denevan O’Connell asked all committee members to come to next meeting prepared to talk
about each old project.
Approval of March 14, 2019 Minutes
Terrance Holland motioned to approve minutes of March 14, 2019. Deborah Feltovic seconded.
Motion approved 7-0.
CJ Gangi made a motion to adjourn at 7:50PM, seconded by Brian Roache. Motion approved
7-0.
