Community Preservation Committee
Minutes of May 9, 2019
Present: Chairman John Simons, Tracy Watson, William Callahan, Denevan O’Connell,
Terrance Holland, CJ Gangi, Deborah Feltovic, Francis McCarty, Laurie Burzlaff- Executive
Asistant
Absent: Brian Roache
Chairman John Simons called the meeting to order at 7:02PM in the Board of Selectmen meeting
room at Town Hall. The meeting was televised.
Rolling Ridge Easement and Parking Lot
Rolling Ridge director Lawrence Jay was present to discuss the easement and construction of the
parking lot. CPC will visit Rolling Ridge on Saturday May 11, 2019 to figure out a plan to start
the construction and review placement of signage.
Review of Atwood Property
Chairman John Simons reviewed the status of the property. The Board asked Mr. Holland and
Ms. Burzlaff to contact Mr. Atwood for permission to enter his property for a wetlands study.
Motion: Tracy Watson motioned to hire a wetland engineer to assess property. Deborah
Feltovic seconded. Motion passed 8-0
Old Projects Closeouts
Motion: Ms. Watson motioned to close out Project 1343: Stevens Estate bathroom renovation.
Mr. O’Connoll seconded. Motion passed 8-0.
Motion: Ms. Watson motioned to close out Project 1367: Weir Hill Parking Lot. Ms. Feltovic
seconded. Motion passed 8-0.
Motion: Ms. Watson motioned to close Project 1249 Restoration of Burial Ground. Mr. Gangi
seconded. Motion passed 8-0.
Motion: Ms. Watson motioned to close Project 1317: Ridgewood Cemetery- Restoration of
Main Gate. Ms. Feltovic seconded. Motion passed 8-0.
Mr. O’Connell requested to have Stan Limpert of the Historial Society attend the next meeting to
go over their open projects.
Motion: Mr. Holland motioned to close Project 1329: Ridgewood Cemetery. Ms. Feltovic
seconded. Motion passed 8-0.
Motion: Ms.Watson motioned to close Project 1349: Library Roof Repairs. Ms. Feltovic
seconded. Motion passed 8-0.
Motion: Ms. Watson motioned to close Project 1358: Ridgewood Cemetery Restoration. Ms.
Feltovic seconded. Motion passed 8-0.
Motion: Ms. Watson motioned to close out Project 1346: Affordable Housing Refurbishment.
Ms. Feltovic seconded. Motion passed 8-0.
Motion: Mr. Callahan motioned to close Project 1353: Affordable Housing Trust- 2017. Ms.
Feltovic seconded. Motion passed 8-0.
Motion: Mr. Callahan motioned to close Project 1365: Affordable Housing Trust-2019. Ms.
Feltovic seconded. Motion passed 8-0.
Approval of April 11, 2019 Minutes
Mr. Holland motioned to approve minutes of March 14, 2019. Ms. Feltovic seconded. Motion
approved 8-0.
Ms. Feltovic made a motion to adjourn at 8:15PM, seconded by Mr. Callahan. Motion
approved 8-0.
